Born Again! Can You Sin?
What is the New Covenant?
Jeremiah 31:31-34 34c for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Hebrews 8:8-13 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Both these scriptures talk about God writing His laws on our heart. That is grace (divine influence upon our hearts and its reflection in our lives).
So if you're born again you can't sin?
I John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
So what than are we chastised for and how are we sanctified?
Sin Strong's 264 meaning to err, miss the mark, so as to not share in the prize. 266 is the abstract form of sin or appearance.
Someone saved can not sin only appear to. Yahushua (Jesus) has paid for them all PERIOD! He doesn't go back up on the cross!
What than do we do? Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed (preserved and protected) unto the day of redemption.
So we can grieve the Holy Spirit and if we continue to do that we open ourselves up to Satan's sickness, disease, poverty, ect. In fact if we are in the church and one of our own is participating in iniquity (not a single act) and after three warnings we are to turn that person’s body over to Satan, so that his soul and spirit are saved.Example: I Corinthians 5:1-7;
James chapter five 13-16 verse 16 says confess your faults (iniquities) one to another.
I John 5:16-18 If any man see his brother (in Christ) sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death, There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: (266 abstract) 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
So you can not sin but you can grieve the Holy Spirit. We as born again believers know that feeling of not sensing the Spirit's presence. That is a good sign that something your doing is grieving God. When you have unexplained tribulation many times it is our walk that needs to be look at. It is not always Satan. He is defeated and can not touch you without us opening the door. If you are under attack, you and a prayer partner ask God to reveal the iniquity, fault that you might repent and break the bondage. Satan can only deceive you and try to keep you ignorant to the truth and freedom from bondage. Yahushua (Jesus) is truth and light and the freedom from oppression. Isaiah 61:1; Luke 4:18.
Halle lu Yahuweh for your righteousness imputed to me by your Son.
